Our Modern Classics

Our twenty-first-century twists on classic cocktails are worth a visit, introducing Indian flavours to drinks from around the world.

Cardamom Caipirinha

A Caipirinha is a classic from Brazil and the name translates to “little village drink”.

The spirit, cachaça, is distilled from fermented sugar cane juice, whereas rum is usually made from molasses. This gives cachaça an earthy, grassy taste that is much fresher than rum.

A classic Caipirinha is cachaça and fresh lime muddled with sugar and served over ice.

Our twist adds cardamom, balancing the acidity of the lime with its floral and peppery flavour. By blending cardamom with sugar, we draw out the sweetness of all the ingredients to create a unique and deliciously light flavour, perfect for a hot summer’s evening.

Fresh Fruit Margaritas – Choose your flavour!

Hotter evenings demand a drink from the deserts – Margaritas get an upgrade with fresh fruit in the mix. We blend premium tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur and ice with a choice of mango, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and pineapple.

Our Signature Cocktail

Bombay Bazaar

Taking the name from Bombay Sapphire Gin, this is a long and fruity drink.

We muddle peach liqueur with fresh raspberries and blackberries for a summer-fruits flavour. We lengthen this cocktail with freshly squeezed orange juice and served over crushed ice.

Most Refreshing: Rose Water Martini

We admit this isn’t anything close to a martini, but bear with us. This vodka cocktail uses only the finest Grey Goose Vodka, blended with fragrant, rose-infused spring water in place of vermouth.

We finish the drink with rose prosecco and St Germain for a light, pink-tinted fizz.

Birmingham’s Best Non-Alcoholic Cocktails

You don’t have to drink spirits to enjoy a creative flavour profile. Birmingham’s best mocktails are found in Itihaas’s drinks menu, blending fresh herbs and fruit juices with flavoured syrups for all of the experience and no alcohol.

Mint and Coconut Colada

Fresh mint blended with sugar syrup, pineapple juice and coconut cream, this is a perfectly balanced, airy drink with a silky smooth texture and deep pineapple notes.

Bollywood Dreams

This sparkling mocktail aims for all the sophistication and glamour of a Bollywood blockbuster.

Many of our diners this month are visiting our restaurant after fasting, and we acknowledge them with a special Thali menu. Our iftar menu offers exclusive dishes that cannot be found on our regular menu and is designed to bring the flavours of homecooked food so popular during Ramadan.

Our Iftar Thali Menu 2024

“When one of you is fasting, he should break his fast with dates; but if he cannot get any, then (he should break his fast) with water, for water is purifying.” – Book 14, Hadith 43

We provide an initial appetiser of dates and a glass of rose-scented milk to break your fast before you begin the main meal, in line with Islamic tradition.
